Class Levels

We ask that all new clients start with 1.0 level classes to become familiar with our equipment, our studio, and to gain knowledge of the foundations of Pilates! At Spring House, level progression is NOT our end-goal; we use levels to help you find classes that meet your specific needs and goals. You might find that your level stays consistant or it might change based on your current mood or fitness regiment.

Start here! This class flows at an intentional pace ideal for beginners and those who enjoy experiencing the details of correct alignment. Great for all fitness levels to receive a deep mastery of Pilates fundamentals. This class is easily modified for those with minor physical limitations. Stay forever or use this class as a stepping-stone to level 1.5 classes. Guest passes welcome in all 1.0 classes, advanced registration required.

Pilates equipment experience required. Class tempo is moderate, movements become more complex and require more balance and stability. Options are included to both increase your level of challenge or modify if needed. Please, for the safety of all participants, no guest passes if your guest is not experienced on Pilates equipment. Guest passes welcome to join you in Level 1.0!

Extensive Pilates equipment experience required. This intermediate level class incorporates a more upbeat pace and will introduce you to more advanced exercises. The ability to maintain form and alignment during complex movements comes together into full body, integrated strength. Must be comfortable with unsupported balance and stability. Please, for the safety of all participants, no guest passes if your guest is not extensivly experienced on Pilates equipment. Guest passes welcome to join you in Level 1.0!

Our signature Pilates class. Strengthen and lengthen from head to toe while challenging your core, balance and stabilty. This class uses different props and fun music to keep your body moving, no class is ever the same!

The Pilates workout you know and expect, plus extra emphasis on functional strength. Best for those who are overall healthy with no limitations.

Pilates is ageless! Essential and nourishing full-body movements in a supportive, low-impact environment. You'll stretch and strengthen, balance and stabilize. Suitable for those new to Pilates or those in need of slightly modified movement due to health condition or injury.

A restorative full body movement class that is gentle on joints. Emphasis on stretching those tight muscles that tend to pull our posture out of alignment. Focus is on mobility, flexibility and balance. This class is not about levels; beginners and experienced Pilates practitioners alike can reap the benefits of this class.

Did your doctor or physical therapist tell you Pilates would help your back pain? Do you have chronic back aches? This is the class for you. This class puts emphasis on spinal stabilty, decompression, and addresses how the full body works to support the spine from your head to your feet. This class is not appropriate if you have acute or sharp back pain that has been undiagnosed by your doctor.

An invigorating Pilates flow centered around the jump board. Low-impact jumping is good for bone health, circulation and overall full body fitness.

Pilates Chair is a simple piece of equipment that challenges your balance while building upper and lower body strength plus everything in between! This class offers a healthy balance of challenging moves rounded out with stretch and recovery. The abilty to balance with very little support is highly recommended for this class.

Push, Pull, Climb, Hang! This class uses the Fuse Ladder to integrate vertical strength, primal movement, the Pilates tower repertoire, and fun!
